Chad Hickman Obituary, MISSAUKEE COUNTY, Mich. — Chad Hickman, 39, has lost his life after a deadly shooting in Missaukee County that left six people dead, including the suspected shooter, and another person critically hurt, based on to Michigan State Police.
Law enforcement identified Hickman as the suspected shooter in the incident, which occurred near LaChance and Kelly roads in Missaukee County. Police had considered him armed and dangerous while they searched for him following the shooting.
Per to information supplied to law enforcement, Hickman allegedly shot and killed Amanda Everitt and four other people, including his sister, before his own passing. Agencies have not released complete details about the circumstances surrounding each death or the relationships between Hickman and all of the victims.
The initial emergency response began after reports that four people had been shot at or near a residence in the area of 2580 S. LaChance Road. A 13-year-old victim reportedly called 911 after being shot, leading emergency responders and law enforcement officers to the scene.
When law enforcement arrived, three victims were reportedly discovered dead and another person was critically wounded. As the investigation continued, Michigan State Police confirmed that the death toll had risen to six, with Hickman among those who died.
